Unblindfolded

A reflection on selective justice — when the blindfold slips and power begins to see too clearly.

Unblindfolded

In the old days, Lady Justice wore a blindfold
to prove she could not see wealth, color, rank, or power.

In Caucasia,
we modernized Justice.

Blindfolds were inefficient —
they interfered with performance metrics.

They told her:
"Justice should see context."
"Justice should see history."
"Justice should see loyalty."
"Justice should see enemies."

And so she looked.

She upgraded to high-definition lenses,
facial recognition software,
and a subscription to premium donor databases.

Her scales now come pre-balanced
for convenience.

Her sword requires no swing —
only selective enforcement.

Once she looked,
she began to notice
who deserved mercy
and who posted incorrectly.

The scales grew lighter.
The sword grew heavier.

And if you ask why she removed the blindfold,
she will gently explain:
"It was obstructing national security."
